Where to Begin???

On the evening of Monday, January 30, 2006 Bruce and I were sitting quietly in the living room with Jessica after she got home from work for about a half hour before heading off to bed at 11:40 p.m. or so. At around 11:45 p.m. there came a knock on our bedroom door and in walked Jessica. At this point she blurted out something to the effect of, "I know that you guys want to go to sleep, but I have some pretty BIG news." Now there were, I am sure, all kinds of ideas running thru our minds in that three second interval before we heard - "I'm PREGNANT!!" come rolling off of her tongue - if we didn't have pierced ears before, we now did.

WOW, that is BIG news...we chatted for a bit and congratulated her with hugs and even though it was midnight, we said that she just had to phone Auntie Lesley to let her know (after all, why should Gramma and Grampa to be, be the only ones awake for half the night?). Jessi told Lesley that she was going to be an Auntie and Lesley said "Who?" to which Jess replied, "Do you have any other brothers or sisters that it could be?" Grampa Bruce being the card in the background said, "Roli?". After talking with Auntie Lesley and her deciding that she would go with Jessica for her ultrasound the next morning, Jessi left us to try to get some sleep. After she left the room, Bruce lifted up his arm and asked me to pinch him to make sure that he wasn't dreaming...no sirry bub, he was NOT dreaming. Now the excitement really begins...
