Last visit to Emerald July Long Weekend

Dr. Martel told Jess that she could continue to go to the lake until she reached her 36th week. So, off we went to the lake on Thursday June 28, 2006 for the long weekend, even though we would have to go home Sunday night as her next Dr.'s appointment and ultrasound are on Monday, July 3, 2006 at 8:40 a.m.

There wasn't any golfing this weekend, just a bit more relaxing - if you can call playing Dr. Mario (Nintendo) relaxing. Jess even got Grammi Wilson involved in Dr. Mario...even though she plays at a lower level and speed, I find it quite incredible that this woman of 81 years of age is still willing to learn or challenge her grandchildren to a game. Of course, Jess has proven to be the "Queen of Boggle" since she plays us and lets us win the odd game, otherwise she ruthlessly checks any words she's unsure of in the dictionary for us!!!

We enjoyed "goodies" from Kami's ice cream store at the beach...that's about as far as a walk would get to this weekend. Brad gave Jess a tour around on his golf cart to save some energy. We even lit up the campfire so we could have "bush pies" for supper before we headed back to the city Sunday night, yum yum.
