Meet Dr. Jocelyn Martel, Specialist & Ultrasound
After Jessi's appointment with Dr. Carla Eisenhauer on Monday, January 30, 2006 and the ultrasound on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 which revealed twins, Dr. E. setup an appointment with a "Specialist" for Jess's next baby appointment. Jess saw Dr. Jocelyn Martel on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. Dr. Martel setup the appointment for the next Ultrasound but at her office instead of at Associated Radiologists for Monday, March 6, 2006 at 10 a.m.
Monday, March 6, 2006 at 10 a.m. proved to be quite a "show" in the Ultrasound room. Bruce and I and Lesley all showed up to check out the twins. Twin A, the babe who will enter this world first as far as their positioning is right now, was quite calm and relaxed but as we watched further, Twin B, looked like they were dancing up a storm already. The tech that did this ultrasound said that the twins are "Identical Twins" and both are 8 ounces at this point (Jess is 19 weeks pregnant this week). Twin A's heart rate was 130 beats per minute and Twin B's heart rate was 150 beats per minute. I thought that the tech said that Twin A was around 11.6 cm in length (4.64 inches). The tech gave Jessi two pictures of the crowns of the twins heads so that they can each have one in the baby books. She told us that next time we come in, if we bring a blank VHS tape that we can have a movie of the ultrasound to take home with us.
